Thesis

Privacy-first software for sensitive personal operations: money, care, and payments. Three products on shared infrastructure, starting with LedgerOne.

Lead product

LedgerOne — household finance workspace for couples, families, and roommates. Budgets, recurring bills, savings goals, and a shared decisions log in one private workspace. First wedge: couples coordinating shared money — a market underserved by solo-budgeting apps (built for one user) and bank apps (built to cross-sell).

Why now

Household financial coordination is mostly done with spreadsheets, text threads, and shared bank logins — none of which were designed for it. Subscription bloat has gone from $50 to $200+/mo for an average household. Inflation makes “where is our money going?” a more frequent question. The tools available to a couple managing shared finances are: a generic budgeting app built for one user, a notes app, and an occasional spreadsheet. LedgerOne is the structured, private, decision-oriented version of what they're already doing.

Stage

Pre-seed. LedgerOne is in early access for households. Helix caregiver workspace is in private beta. Volt (Stripe Connect payments) is invite-only — operating initially as the payments layer for the other Orvica products.

Business model

Freemium SaaS with paid household tiers (LedgerOne Pro $8/mo, Family $14/mo). Helix monetizes via provider plans ($39/provider/mo, Practice $99/provider/mo with cash-pay billing). Volt monetizes via standard Stripe processing rates. All three funnel from the same Orvica account.

Use of funds

(1) LedgerOne household marketing + waitlist conversion (couples-first paid acquisition), (2) Helix provider onboarding (BAA infrastructure, credentialing) — secondary, (3) compliance review (privacy + healthcare attorney, security audit), (4) one additional full-stack engineer focused on LedgerOne features (monthly rollovers, savings goals, decisions log).
