2. Recurring bills

Each bill has an amount, due day, auto-pay flag, and a payer. The household sees who's responsible and what's coming up in the next 7 days. SMS + email reminders fire before due dates so nothing slips.

3. Savings goals

A goal has a target amount, target date, current balance, and a monthly contribution. Progress bars + monthly summaries make it obvious whether you're on track. Goals can be private to one member or shared across the whole household.

4. Decisions log

The most distinctive LedgerOne feature: every budget change captures a reason. “Reduced dining-out to $400 because we're saving for the trip.” Six months later, when someone asks “wait, why is dining only $400 again?”, the answer is one click away. Most finance apps track numbers; LedgerOne tracks why numbers changed.

5. Monthly rollover

At the end of each month, one click copies last month's budget forward, archives old decisions, and surfaces what changed. No re-entering the same recurring bills every 30 days.
