Cookie Policy

Effective 2026-05-30 · Version 0.1-draft

Orvica uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies (collectively "cookies") to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure how the product is used. This page explains the categories we use and how to control them.

Categories

Strictly necessary. Required for the service to function — authentication session, CSRF protection, beta-access gates on /volt and similar surfaces. Disabling these breaks sign-in.

Functional. Remembers your privacy preferences (hide_balances, sandbox mode), UI theme, recently-viewed pages.

Analytics. PostHog product analytics — page views and product events used to understand which features are working. We do not sell or share this data.

Vendor frames. Plaid Link and Stripe Elements set their own cookies inside their iframes when you connect a bank account or check out. Those cookies are governed by Plaid's and Stripe's privacy policies.

Controlling cookies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via Settings → Privacy. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in. You can toggle analytics by clearing your browser data; we don't currently offer an in-product opt-out, but you can request one by emailing privacy@orvica.co.

Do Not Track

We honor browser-level "Do Not Track" signals where technically feasible, but the DNT standard does not provide a uniform way for sites to acknowledge the signal. Our analytics provider (PostHog) treats DNT-signaling users as anonymous.

Updates

We will update this page when we add new cookies or change categories. Material changes will be announced via the site footer and the changelog.
