Charged on top of Stripe processing fees when patients pay through Helix. Optional — only collected when you accept cash payments through the platform.
Common questions.
Is Helix HIPAA-compliant?
Helix uses HIPAA-aligned safeguards: AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit, audit logs, MFA, and RBAC per §164.312. Provider workflows requiring a BAA are available only for verified healthcare entities with the required agreements in place. AI-assisted PHI features remain gated unless the required vendor BAA (currently Anthropic) is active — see the Trust Center for current status.
How does the cash-pay fee work?
Optional. Only charged when you collect cash-pay through Helix's integrated checkout. 2.9% + 30¢ on top of Stripe's processing fee — equivalent to most patient-portal payment add-ons.
Can I switch from Pro to Practice?
Yes. Upgrades are pro-rated. Provider data carries over; you can invite up to 10 providers under the Practice plan.
What if I have more than 10 providers?
Email us. We can quote an Enterprise tier with the same per-provider pricing model + custom contract terms.
Do families need to pay anything?
No. The Free tier is free forever for families and caregivers managing 1 patient. Most family-side users never need a paid plan.
When does the provider tier launch publicly?
Currently in private preview. Email hello@orvica.co for early access. Public launch when the provider workflow is fully tested in production.
