SMS Messaging Terms

The text-message communications you receive from Orvica. Separate from our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — your acceptance of those agreements is independent of your consent to receive SMS.

By providing your mobile number to Orvica and ticking the SMS consent checkbox at signup or in account settings, you agree to receive transactional SMS as described below. Consent to receive optional SMS is not a condition of buying anything from Orvica.

Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Frequency varies by your activity.

1. What SMS you may receive

Orvica sends transactional SMS only — never third-party marketing, sponsorship, or unrelated promotional offers. Messages may be branded as Helix, LedgerOne, or Volt and will identify that the product is powered by Orvica. The categories are:

  • Account verification codes — one-time codes (OTPs) sent when you sign in or change a security setting. These are required for account security and are not user-toggleable.
  • Helix refill alerts — when a medication needs a refill or a prescription is ready for pickup.
  • LedgerOne bill reminders — when a credit card bill or recurring charge is due.
  • LedgerOne invoice alerts — when someone sends you an invoice or marks one paid through Orvica.
  • Volt payment alerts — payouts, disputes, and merchant account changes for users running a Stripe Connect merchant account through Orvica.

2. Frequency

Frequency varies. Account verification codes fire only when you trigger them. Other categories fire only when their underlying event occurs (a refill is due, a bill is coming up, an invoice is sent, a payout completes). Most users receive between 0 and 10 messages per month.

3. Per-category opt-out

You can disable any category individually from /account/notifications while signed in — refill alerts, bill reminders, invoice alerts, and payment alerts each have their own toggle. Account-verification SMS cannot be disabled because it is a security requirement, not a notification.

4. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT

Reply with any of those words to any Orvica SMS to immediately opt out of all non-security SMS. You will receive a final confirmation message and no further optional transactional SMS will be queued. Account-verification codes and legally required account-security notices may continue only when you trigger or require them, since they are part of account security rather than optional notifications.

5. HELP and INFO

Reply HELP or INFO to receive support contact information. For direct support, email hello@orvica.co.

6. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging charges from your mobile carrier apply to every SMS you send or receive. Orvica does not charge you for SMS — your carrier may.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on carrier networks, device settings, phone-number accuracy, and service availability.

7. Phone-number data handling

Phone numbers are stored encrypted at rest in our database. We do not sell, rent, lease, or share phone numbers or SMS content with third parties for marketing or advertising. We share aggregated, de-identified delivery metadata with our SMS provider (Twilio) solely for service delivery, deliverability monitoring, opt-out enforcement, and abuse prevention, under Twilio’s data-processing agreement.

8. Revoking consent

You can revoke consent at any time by:

  • Replying STOP (or any of the keywords in §4) to any SMS
  • Toggling all categories off at /account/notifications
  • Removing your phone number from your account profile at /account
  • Emailing hello@orvica.co and asking us to remove your number

Revocation takes effect immediately. Already-queued messages may complete delivery within a few minutes of revocation but no new messages will be queued.

9. Toll-free messaging program

Orvica sends SMS through Twilio using a US toll-free number. The number is registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) for transactional messaging. Our messages comply with CTIA and carrier guidelines for toll-free messaging.

10. Changes to these terms

When this page materially changes, we will require you to review and re-accept the new version before continuing to receive SMS. We will record both the original acceptance and the re-acceptance with timestamps.
