SMS Consent · Public Disclosure

What you agree to when you opt in to SMS

A phone number is optional at signup and at every other Orvica entry point. If you do not provide a phone number, no SMS consent is collected and no SMS will ever be sent. Only when you voluntarily enter a phone number does the consent checkbox appear in the signup form below. The checkbox is unchecked by default and the form blocks submission until you tick it.

The signup form, exactly as users see it

The element below is a 1:1 replica of the relevant slice of the production signup form at orvica.co/signup (source: src/app/signup/page.tsx). Both checkboxes are shown in their default unchecked state. The Terms / Privacy checkbox and the SMS consent checkbox are independent — the user must tick each one separately. The Campaign Registry (TCR) requires SMS consent to be standalone for toll-free messaging programs; bundling it into the Terms checkbox is not permitted.

SMS consent. By providing my mobile number I consent to receive transactional SMS from Orvica LLC and its products — Helix (healthcare medication refill alerts), LedgerOne(personal-finance bill & invoice reminders), and Volt (merchant payment notifications) — plus account verification codes. Up to ~10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See the SMS Terms and Privacy Policy. SMS consent is not required to create an account — leave the phone field blank to skip.

Disabled until both checkboxes above are ticked.

Default state: both checkboxes above are unchecked. Neither is pre-selected. The user must tick each one independently before the “Create account” button enables. The SMS consent checkbox does not appear at all if the phone field is left empty.

To verify this in the live form, visit orvica.co/signup, enter any phone number, and observe: both the Terms checkbox and the SMS consent checkbox load empty. Submitting with either one unticked produces a validation error and blocks account creation.

What you can expect

  • End business: Orvica LLC (parent), operating three products — Helix (healthcare medication coordination), LedgerOne (personal finance), Volt (Stripe Connect merchant payments). All three send SMS under the single Orvica brand identity from the same toll-free number.
  • Sender: Orvica (toll-free +1 855-687-4084)
  • Message types: account verification codes, Helix refill alerts, LedgerOne bill reminders, LedgerOne invoice alerts, Volt merchant payment alerts. Transactional only — no marketing, no promotions, no third-party content.
  • Frequency: varies by your activity. Verification codes only when you sign in. Other categories only when their underlying event fires (a refill is due, a bill is coming up, a payout completes). Most users receive 0–10 messages per month.
  • Cost: Orvica does not charge for SMS. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier apply.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any Orvica SMS. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further transactional SMS.
  • Per-category control: /account/notifications (refill alerts, bill reminders, invoice alerts, payment alerts each toggle independently once you are signed in).
  • Help: reply HELP or INFO for support contact, or email hello@orvica.co.

Phone-number data handling

Phone numbers are encrypted at rest in our database. Orvica does not sell, rent, lease, or sharephone numbers or SMS content with third parties, affiliates, or partners for marketing or advertising. We share aggregated, de-identified delivery metadata with our SMS provider (Twilio) solely for service delivery, deliverability monitoring, and abuse prevention, under Twilio’s data-processing agreement.

How consent is recorded

When you tick the SMS consent box at signup, our backend records a separate audit row in user_consents with document_type = ‘sms_consent’, along with the consent text version, your account ID, IP address, user agent, and a UTC timestamp. The SMS audit row is independent of the Terms of Service / Privacy Policy consent rows, so the SMS opt-in is unambiguously its own affirmative act and not bundled with any other agreement.
